SGML to PDF

Mekon have the technology to implement automatic conversion of SGML information to PDF for either electronic proofing purposes or basic IETM. The application is currently designed to work with AECMA 1000D data modules, however this application is being developed for all SGML source data.

PDF Forms

Why spend thousands of pounds producing printed forms when your company could be delivering these electronically for in-house or client use. Automatically extract the data for future use, speed up the "red tape" time and remove the difficulties of hand-written information.

Acrobat Forms is a group of extensions to PDF used by Adobe Acrobat. These extensions allow PDF files to contain fields and buttons and can be considered as simply a new layer on top of a PDF file. The underlying PDF file may be created by any PDF producer such as the PDF Writer, the Acrobat Distiller application, or the Acrobat Capture application. The fields are subsequently added manually using Acrobat. In addition to the forms data stored in PDF files, there is a need for a file format to use for transmitting forms data between a server and a client. The Acrobat products support both the HTML form format and an Acrobat-specific Forms Data Format: FDF.

PDF Documents

Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) is the open, de facto standard for electronic document distribution worldwide. Adobe PDF is a universal file format that preserves all of the fonts, formatting, colours, and graphics of any source document, regardless of the application and platform used to create it. Adobe PDF files are compact and can be shared, viewed, navigated, and printed exactly as intended by anyone with a free Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can convert any document to Adobe PDF using Adobe Acrobat software.

IETM \ IETP

Deliver advanced "intelligent" documents to end users to enable greater efficiency and reduce the paper mountain created by hard copy manuals for complicated equipment. An IETM \ IETP is an interactive electronic version of a system's technical manuals. It contains all the information a technician needs to do his job: procedures, parts information and theory information. The information can be loaded onto a lightweight, portable computer that the technician can take with him to perform maintenance.
